Loft & Sloped Ceiling Wardrobes in Bradford
If your bedroom sits under a slope, you've got a knee wall, an eaves dead-space, and most likely a wardrobe-shaped problem nobody else can solve cleanly. We build wardrobes that follow the slope — no filler panels, no dead triangles, doors that taper. The Bradford housing-stock specialism nobody else owns.
Every project, every tier.

- Hidden knee-wall storage with concealed back access
- Full-height eaves storage where head height allows

The right pick for the right room.
If your bedroom is in a loft conversion or under a dormer, you have a knee wall, a sloping ceiling, and most likely a triangular dead space behind the knee wall that nobody can use. Standard wardrobes either don't fit or leave a metre of wasted height between the top of the wardrobe and the slope. We build wardrobes that follow the slope — no filler panels, no dead triangles, doors that taper. The knee-wall storage gets a hidden back access for the awkward bit. We fit this layout constantly across Heaton lofts, Saltaire dormer extensions, Apperley Bridge new-build third floors, and the rear loft conversions on Wibsey and Wyke 1930s semis. This is the Bradford specialism nobody else owns.
What you can specify.

On this style, the things customers ask first.
Can you build a wardrobe that follows a sloped ceiling?
Yes — that's the whole point of this style. We measure the slope angle and design the door tops to taper to match. No filler panels, no flat top sitting awkwardly under the slope.
What's the minimum ceiling height needed?
1.4 metres at the lowest point of the wardrobe front. Below that, the wardrobe becomes deep storage with a low-front hinged door rather than a full wardrobe. Most useful storage sits in the 1.4m to 2.2m height range.
Can the knee-wall dead space be used?
Yes. We design hidden storage behind the knee wall accessed through a small concealed panel — useful for off-season clothes, luggage, ski gear, the things you only need twice a year. The access panel is invisible when closed.
Do dormer wardrobes need planning permission?
No — fitted wardrobes are internal works and don't require planning. The dormer itself might have been planning-controlled at construction, but the wardrobes inside it aren't.
Can sliding doors work under a slope?
Yes, with top-hung tracks engineered for the geometry. The slide runs along the longer flat-ceiling part of the room. We design these constantly for Heaton loft conversions.
Bradford, the wider district, and the towns across the moor.
We do most of our work within a fifteen-minute drive of the workshop — Shipley, Heaton, Frizinghall, Saltaire, Wibsey. We travel further for larger projects across West Yorkshire.
